Tuition Assistance and Scholarship Programs
Tuition Assistance:
Phoenix Montessori Academy allocates funds each year to be used for tuition assistance for eligible families. Tuition assistance is available on a first-come, first-served basis at the beginning of the enrollment period.
PMA utilizes a third party, FACTS, to determine eligibility. FACTS objectively analyzes each application based on current income and expenses, with consideration given to circumstances. Based on this analysis, FACTS estimates the amount of assistance needed.

North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship and ESA Grants:
Families applying to Phoenix Montessori Academy are eligible to apply for the North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship. The 2023 Appropriations Act has expanded eligibility, making all families with students in kindergarten through 12th grade eligible to apply. This scholarship provides significant financial support, ranging from approximately $3,000 to $7,000, depending on household income. The application period for the 2025-2026 school year will open on February 1, 2025, with priority consideration for applications submitted by March 1, 2025. PMA follows a process for tuition assistance and forgiveness, requiring all K-12 families to apply for the Opportunity Scholarship if applying for PMA’s internal Tuition Assistance Program. Applications for PMA’s Tuition Assistance/Forgiveness Program will open in January 2025. If you qualify for PMA’s assistance, your request will be held pending the results of your Opportunity Scholarship application.
PMA will be notified of the status of the financial aid request and will communicate the results to you.
