Visual Arts Program
At Phoenix Montessori Academy, the Visual Arts program is designed to inspire creativity, curiosity, and meaningful self-expression while helping students grow into creative problem solvers and global citizens. Rooted in Montessori philosophy, our program encourages students to explore the arts through independence, collaboration, cultural understanding, and hands-on discovery.
Through hands-on exploration and meaningful project work, students engage with a wide variety of artistic techniques, materials, artists, and cultural traditions. Art at PMA is intentionally integrated with Montessori principles, allowing students to connect creativity with academic learning, cosmic education, service, and community involvement.
In addition to our regular Montessori-aligned curriculum, students participate in a variety of enriching annual experiences and collaborative projects throughout the school year, including:
- International Dot Day
- Pinwheels for Peace
- Seasonal & Cultural Art Projects
- Student Book Publishing
- Random Acts of Kindness Initiatives
- Artist Research Projects
- Annual Art Show
- Musical Theater Collaboration
- Art Fundraisers
- Clay Works Pottery Workshop
- Posters for Athletics & School Events
- Senior Legacy Bricks
Our arts program provides students with opportunities to create with purpose, share their talents with the community, and develop their own artistic voice in an environment that values curiosity, creativity, and authentic expression.
