Youth Summer Basketball League
Presented by The Montessori Sports Academy
Powered by Horizon Basketball School
This summer, give your child more than just games—offer a true development experience.
The Youth Summer Basketball League is intentionally designed through the Montessori Sports Philosophy to develop complete players—on and off the court—by strengthening basketball IQ, skill, confidence, and love for the game.
Elite, Intentional Training
Our staff brings a high-level, player-first approach to every session:
Certified Montessori-trained instructors
Former collegiate basketball players
Experienced, certified basketball coaches
Every practice and game is purpose-driven, designed to teach the why behind the game, not just the what. Players are coached to think, make decisions, and develop awareness, building confidence through understanding and mastery.
A True Development Partnership
What makes this league distinct is that development does not stop with the player—it includes the adults who guide them.
In alignment with Montessori principles, we recognize that the prepared environment includes both the child and the adults supporting them.
Parent education on the game and on their child’s development
Guidance on how to effectively support, encourage, and lead your child
Clear alignment and partnership between coaches and families
This creates a cohesive, intentional experience where each child is supported consistently—helping them grow not only as athletes, but as confident, self-aware individuals.
Why This League Is Different
This is not a roll-the-ball-out league.
We emphasize:
Skill development and strong fundamentals
Game understanding and basketball IQ
Confidence built through mastery and love for the game
Teamwork, leadership, and character development

Mission
Improve skills. Have fun. Grow as a player and teammate.
